On December 18-19, 2020, the Academic Forum on “Natural product Synthesis and Discovery” was held by ZJUT Marine Drug Team. The purpose of this forum was to set a role model, look for the gap and identify the deficiencies. Furthermore, to build an academic platform for Pharmaceutical Science and major development, and youth scholars communications.

     The Forum invited Prof. Jiang Zhiyong, Henan Normal University, winner of National Outstanding Young Fund, Prof. Gao Shuanhu, East China Normal University, winner of National Excellent Youth Funds, Research Prof. Lu Haihua, National Youth Distinguished Professor, Westlake University, Research Prof. Jiao Weihua, winner of National Excellent Youth Funds, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Research Prof. Ma Junying, winner of National Excellent Youth Funds, South China Sea Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Research Prof. Li Xuwen, winner of National Excellent Youth Funds, Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The 6 experts made special reports on related research fields. Dr. Ye Xinyi, ZJUT Canal distinguished Youth Professor, Dr. Bao Xiaoze, Research Associate Professor, Dr. Wei Bin, Dr. Chen Jianwei, Dr. Yu Yanlei and Dr. Chen Wenchao from ZJUT Marine Drug Team also made academic presentations.

    More than 40 teachers and students of Pharmaceutical major from College of Pharmaceutical participated in the forum. The experts shared with young researches, students and teachers with their own experiences of continuous exploration and innovation in the process of scientific research. There was a heated discussion among the participants.
