The research team and the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica jointly trained a master's student Zeng Zirong（the first author）has article entitled " Chemical Constituents of Sinularia nanolobata from the South China Sea " was published by “Chinese Journal of Organic Chemistry” on November 17, 2021. This article mainly isolated 10 compounds from soft coral Sinularia nanolobata, including a new lobane-type diterpene compound. The article determines the absolute configuration of the new compound through empirical rules and QM-NMR quantum mechanics method. The activity test of all compounds found that the known compound α-tocopherylquinone significantly inhibited the enzymatic activity of PTP1B with the IC50 value of 4.83±2.35 μM, implying that this compound has a promising potential on the drug discovery of anti-diabetes and anti-obesity.
