Recently, the article entitled “A Small-Molecule Inhibitor ofthe Anthranilyl-CoA Synthetase PqsA for the Treatment of Multidrug-Resistant Pseudomonasaeruginosa” by Yaojia Lu was accepted by the Microbiology Spectrum. This article describes the in vitro antibacterial activity, mechanism and in vivo efficacy of a PqsA inhibitor of Pseudomonas aeruginosaquorum-sensing system, which provides the possibility to further solve the bacterial resistance problem.
