Dr. Wei is a member of the Chinese Pharmaceutical Association. He is mainly engaged in studying the interactions between seaweed polysaccharides and gut microbiota, and the development of seaweed polysaccharides-based health products. He has hosted 1 National Natural Science Foundation Youth Project, 1 Zhejiang Postdoctoral Fund, and participated in many National Natural Science Foundation projects. He has published more than 20 papers in various SCI journals including Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology, Journal of Enzyme Inhibition and Medicinal Chemistry and Journal of Functional Foods, and applied for 8 patents.
