Recently, through cooperation with Prof. Xing-Nuo Li, Dr. Bin Wei published an article entitled "Cinnamic acid derivatives: inhibitory activity against Escherichia coli β-glucuronidase and structure-activity relationships" on the Journal of Enzyme Inhibition and Medicinal Chemistry. This article explored the inhibitory activity of 17 naturally derived cinnamic acid derivatives against E. coli β-glucuronidase (EcGUS). This study is useful for further digging and designing more potent cinnamic acid-type inhibitors of EcGUS.
