Congratulations to Mr. Taoshun Zhou’s article being accepted by Bioorganic Chemistry

        Recently, the article entitled "Discovery a series of 5-phenyl-2-furan derivatives containing 1,3-thiadiazole moiety as potent inhibitors of Escherichia coli β-glucuronidase" by Mr. Zhou Taoshun of our group was accepted by Bioorganic Chemistry. This article mainly explores the inhibitory activity of fifteen 5-phenyl-2-furan derivatives containing 1,3-thiadiazole moiety on E. coli β-glucuronidase (EcGUS), with the highest inhibitory activity reaching 0.25 μM, which is the 260-fold that of the positive control D-saccharic acid-1,4-lactone, these findings would facilitate the design and discovery of effective EcGUS inhibitors from synthetic 5-phenyl-2-furan derivatives. Bioorganic Chemistrycurrently appears in the JCR Q1 with an impact factor of 5.275. His instructors are Prof. Hong Wang and Dr. Bin Wei.
